Ebor Players

The Ebor Players are an amateur drama company based in Bishopthorpe. We produce a highly successful pantomime every year with the occasional spring comedy.

Tickets for Mother Goose will be on sale from Saturday 10th October 2026! Join our mailing list to receive an alert when bookings open.
It's a fun, feathery and fabulous family show with all the traditional cheering, booing, songs, laughter, nonsense, colourful costumes, romance, peril and villainous skulduggery you could dream of. Who will win the battle of good versus evil: Fairy Aurora or Smorg, the wicked troll? Can Mother Goose and her beloved Heidi escape the treacherous clutches of the Baron and his sidekick, Gonk? Will Freya and Sven find love amidst the mayhem?
The panto will be at Bishopthorpe Village Hall, as it has been since the Ebor Players' first show in 1994. Directed and produced by Philippa Parrish and written by Ben Crocker, it runs from Monday 30 November to Saturday 5 December.
